Following Nicolas Kazz post sometime last year on Sala gate, I added it to my bucket list, so today I checked on maps and maps indicated its a 290km round trip,
Eburu Forest Reserve is an 8,715 hectare protected natural forest that sits atop a dormant volcanic mountain. It is one of those rare places were you can hike, ride bicycles and off-road motorcycles, camp, observe wildlife and completely immerse yourself in nature.

Destination: Muturis, a choma joint with a “food court” set up – different vendors offering mbuzi, pork and fish. Spacious, with a kids' play area. Good ambiance. Music.
this village is about 3kms away from Saadani National Park which fascinates me because one of its borders is the Indian ocean. So this place is the perfect combination of bush and beach.
The local suggested I push the bike to a nearby manyatta where I could leave it for the night and they would give me a ride to Kimuka. They were unwilling to carry my bike on their pick up.
I started riding motorcycles a bit over ten years ago. Hardly a month into riding, while I still held my provisional license, I got into my first accident near Sarit Centre...

The riding experience: lots of torque all through. In Sport mode, the effortless acceleration was impressive - much better than the equivalent combustion engine. There's real hooligan potential there.

when doing long rides, I usually have a tendency to identify and follow a vehicle moving at good speeds to avoid being bullied on the road by trucks and matatus

The engine is quite muted. A modest thumper soundtrack. It brings to mind the sound of a tuk tuk. It won't annoy the neighbours, but won't impress them either.

A local guy called one crocodile and the reptile obliged and came out of the water. I had never seen or heard of humans calling crocodiles from a river! It was and still is intriguing to me.

Today KT marks 1 year since she came out from the showroom. She has taken me to places. Just to mention Mombasa, Kisumu, Bungoma, Kitale and many others including one I will never forget a Ride to Garisa 😆😆😆. She has done so far 38,476Km.
